Dollar sharply rising in Kyrgyzstan
The U.S. dollar began to rise sharply in Kyrgyzstan. In just half of a day, the U.S. currency rose in price by 10-15 tyiyns. A similar situation is observed in Russia.
In the morning, the capital’s exchange offices bought the dollar for 68.4-68.5 soms, and sold — for 68.8-68.95 soms. Over the weekend, the currency grew by 20 tyiyns. However, growth did not stop there.
Now, exchange offices and commercial banks buy the dollar for 68.6-68.7 soms, and sell — for 69-69.2 soms. Nominal rate set by the National Bank is 68,4544 soms (0.1% drop for a day).
The day before, after the U.S. decision to impose sanctions on Russian businessmen, the dollar and euro in the Russian Federation reached a maximum of 2016. At 12.00 (3.00 pm Bishkek time), the U.S. dollar cost 62.2 rubles, and euro — 76.61 rubles.
