Police officers of Chui region - leaders in torture use
In 2016, the National Center for Torture Prevention has received 209 statements. The report of the center says.
«One statement was received in Naryn region, four — in Talas, nine — in Batken, ten — in Issyk-Kul region, 15 — in Jalal-Abad, 20 — in Osh region and Osh city. And 150 complaints of torture by police officers were received in Chui region and in Bishkek,» the National Center for Torture Prevention reported.
The Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial, Legal Issues and the Regulations of the Parliament, after hearing the report, found the work of the center unsatisfactory.
