Kyrgyzstan plans to fine for disrespect to ak-kalpak
It is planned to introduce a fine for disrespect to ak-kalpak in Kyrgyzstan. Amendments to the Administrative Responsibility Code were submitted for public discussion.
The initiators are MPs Ekmat Baibakpaev and Bakirdin Subanbekov. They propose to add to the chapter «Administrative violations infringing upon the historical and cultural heritage» the Article 117-6 «Disrespect to the national headwear ak-kalpak.»
Previously, Ekmat Baibakpaev proposed to grant the national headdress of the Kyrgyz, ak-kalpak, the status of a cultural symbol.
