Mission of Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development visits Kyrgyzstan
Specialists of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) came to Kyrgyzstan to see how the issued loans were handled. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), which manages the funds of the EFSD, reported.
The delegation of the fund visited Bishkek to discuss the issues of optimizing the monitoring of the investment project «Financing the supply of agricultural equipment to Kyrgyzstan» and preparing a project to provide the country with Health Caravan grant.
«Within Health Caravan project, meetings with officials and representatives of the National Hospital took place. The conditions and mechanisms of the grant were discussed. As a result of the consultations, it is planned to sign a grant agreement between EFSD and Kyrgyzstan,» the report said.
The investment project «Financing the supply of agricultural machinery to Kyrgyzstan» for $ 20 million has been implemented by EFSD since March 2014 and provides for the allocation of loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery and the development of its service maintenance.
Within the framework of Health Caravan project, Kyrgyzstan will receive a grant of $ 2 million. It is aimed at improving primary health care and its accessibility in rural and hard-to-reach areas of Kyrgyzstan and provides for the purchase of two «Health Caravan» road trains, the organizational and methodological support of their work and preventive examinations of the people.
