Main cause of fires - violation of electrical appliances operating rules
The main cause of fires is the violation of the operating rules of electrical appliances (37.9 percent). Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, they are followed by violations of the rules for operating heating stoves and chimneys — 23 percent, careless handling of fire — 18.7 percent, children playing with fire — 8 percent.
It is reported that in two months of 2018, at least 638 fires were registered in the country, in which 25 people (including a child) were killed, 9 — were injured.
Most of the fires (459) occurred in the residential sector.
