Man rapes 12-year-old girl in Cholpon-Ata
A man raped a 12-year-old girl in Cholpon-Ata town. Police Department for Issyk-Kul region informed 24.kg news agency.
Mother of the child reportedly applied to the police. She pointed out that an unknown Asian man raped her daughter.
«A 53-year-old resident of Kara-Oy village was detained on suspicion of committing the crime and was placed in a pretrial detention center. An investigation is being conducted,» the Issyk-Kul Police Department said.
The police noted that during the interrogation the detainee pleaded guilty. «He works as a watchman in the cultural center Rukh-Ordo in Cholpon-Ata and also as a taxi driver. At about 8.30 pm, the girl approached his car and asked him to sit in the car, saying that she lost her way home and was hungry,» the police told.
