Emergency situation regime introduced in Bazar-Korgon district due to flooding
An emergency situation regime was introduced in Seydikum rural area of Bazar-Korgon district. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the ministry, the water level in Kara-Unkur river raised the day before due to heavy rains, threatening to flood the cotton ginning plant Altyn-Bula and about 110 houses.
An operative group, headed by the head of the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Jalal-Abad region, 5 units of equipment and 30 people from the local population were involved in liquidation of the emergency situation.
The bank protection works will continue today.
