Military Prosecutor's Office opens six criminal cases against firefighters
The Military Prosecutor’s Office conducts a routine inspection of the activities of the Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan on compliance with the requirements of the law on fire safety when approving permits for multi-storey residential buildings under construction in Bishkek. Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
Within three months, the Military Prosecutor’s Office detected violations and instituted six criminal cases against officials of the Fire Service.
«Under the law, when designing and building high-rise apartment houses, it is absolutely necessary to provide access roads to them for fire and other special equipment for rescue and firefighting. However, for 2016-2017, officials of the Fire Service, abusing their official position, despite the inconsistency with fire regulations, illegally issued positive conclusions to the developers,» the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
