Repair of hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata to cost 10 million soms
The Committee on Budget and Finance of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan supported the government’s intention to allocate 10 million soms for the repair of the hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata in preparation for the 3rd World Nomad Games. Press service of the Parliament reported.
According to the Minister of Finance Adylbek Kasymaliev, the sources of financing of these funds have been determined.
Competitions in 36 national sports, in which about 3,000 athletes from 80 countries of the world are expected to take part, are planned. About 500 media representatives from 50 countries will cover the events.
The general contractor of the reconstruction of the hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata for the 1st World Nomad Games in 2014, Erkin Mergenbayev, was sentenced to six years in prison with confiscation of property.
