Only 214 PRC citizens obtained Kyrgyz passports for 8 years
Over the past eight years, only 214 citizens of the People’s Republic of China became citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. At least 129 of them are the ethnic Kyrgyz, the State Registration Service reported.
According to it, the information voiced by some mass media about the thousands of Chinese citizens, who gained Kyrgyz citizenship, does not correspond to reality.
The SRS also refutes information about 30,000 Chinese who, allegedly, married Kyrgyzstanis. Over the past 17 years, there were only 195 marriages with Chinese citizens.
On Saturday, the police of Osh region detected the Chinese, working in Oomat market, who illegally obtained the passports of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
