Uzbekistan introduces visa-free regime with 7 countries
The President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Israel since February 10. Gazeta.uz reported.
Visa-free regime will apply to the crews of planes of airlines performing regular flights to the country.
The decree also stipulates for the introduction of a simplified procedure for issuing tourist visas for 39 countries from February 10, which provides for the cancellation of the requirement to provide a tourist voucher to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an invitation from an inviting legal or physical person in Uzbekistan and a visa processing within two working days, not taking into account the day of receipt of documents. Thus, the number of countries with a simplified visa regime will increase from 15 to 51.
In addition, the decree instructs to introduce from July 1, 2018 the system of issuing electronic entry visas.
