Number of traffic accidents victims for 10 years exceeds Afghan war casualties
Over the past ten years, the number of traffic accidents has increased 1,500 times. Deputy Ruslan Kazakbaev announced today at the meeting of the parliamentary faction Respublika-Ata Jurt.
According to him, since 2007, about 16,000 citizens have died in traffic accidents, 2,000 of whom are children. About 110,000 citizens suffered injuries of varying severity in traffic accidents (2007-2010) including 18,173 children.
«It turns out that every day three people die on the roads of Kyrgyzstan, for a week we lose two teenagers. There were fewer casualties for ten years of the Afghan war. 7,000 Kyrgyz servicemen participated in the war in Afghanistan. 3,000 of them were killed,» Ruslan Kazakbaev said.
