Agriculture Ministry works out concept until 2027 to improve safety of dairy
The Ministry of Agriculture submitted a concept for the development of production and control over the safety of milk and dairy products in Kyrgyzstan for 2018-2027 for public discussion.
«Livestock breeding is the leading sector of agriculture, accounting for 47.7 percent of the total agricultural output. Milk and dairy products are considered as the main, promising products in terms of increasing export volumes,» the ministry noted.
«Non-conformity of the control system necessary to ensure the quality and safety of dairy products hinders stable supplies to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,» the Ministry of Agriculture told. «The concept involves introduction of various improvements required in terms of milk supply.»
The document includes issues of registration of dairy cows, improvement of milking hygiene technology and precision control programs in food testing laboratories and other measures.
