Citizen of Turkey sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape of Kyrgyzstani
A citizen of Turkey was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape of a Kyrgyz woman. Turkish media reported. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Ankara confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
The crime occurred in August, but the trial was completed only in January. The defendant pleaded not guilty, saying that he did not rape anyone. The victim told that the man not only raped her, but also stole a cell phone.
The court found him guilty in two facts and sentenced him to 30 years in jail: 18 years for rape and 12 years for theft.
