Special equipment for construction of new landfill arrives in Bishkek
Special equipment for construction of a new garbage landfill arrived in Bishkek. Press service of the Bishkek City Administration reported.
According to the representative of the contracting organization Janek Karu, this is the first batch of special equipment, the second batch will arrive in 2018.
Bishkek City Administration is implementing the project "Improvement of the solid waste management system," financed by €8 million grant from the European Union, €11 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and €3 million grant from the EBRD.
The new solid disposal will be located next to the old city landfill, which after the construction is completed will be closed and reclaimed.
