Almazbek Atambayev asks Sooronbai Jeenbekov not to disgrace him
«My friend, don’t disgrace me, work transparently,» Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said, referring to the newly elected head of state, Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
Concluding the meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development, the outgoing President thanked all those gathered for supporting his initiatives. He admitted that the president’s years of work were complicated. Almazbek Atambayev also instructed to finalize the National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2018-2040 within the next three months.
«Three months is a sufficient time for the final version of the document to be on February 15. All members of the council must look at it in advance. In late February, another meeting of the council should be held to know where to go. The project is multi-stage. All unanimously make proposals on national projects,» Almazbek Atambayev concluded.
