Million soms collected for disabled couple to build housing
A businessman allocated 700,000 soms for building a house to a married couple with disabilities, and the regional administration arranged a charity marathon and raised about 300,000 soms in Batken region. Press service of the plenipotentiary representative of government in the region reported.
According to it, 293,577 soms were collected at the marathon, which Elmirat and Kunduz intend to spend on completing construction of a house, purchase of furniture and dishes.
Earlier, an entrepreneur gave them 700,000 soms for building a house.
The couple lived in a rented apartment and a half of the social allowance was spent on housing rent payment.
