«The transition of Kyrgyzstan to biometric passports is a good indicator, as biometric data is an additional trust. Here one should think about the privacy of information,» Orvo Ott, PhD, Chairman of the Management Board of the Estonian Electronic Governance Academy, said, sharing his country’s experience in implementing e-government during a meeting with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tallinn.

«Many people think that e-government is programming and technology, but it’s not. These are organizational problems, who answers for what, what principles to use. Organizational issues are the most important and the most difficult for Kyrgyzstan. It takes more time to change people’s thinking and organizational things than to develop the program,» the professor believes.

He stressed the importance of Tunduk project in the framework of Taza Koom, as this will help to protect the data when using the Internet.

Also Tallinn has hosted a three-day conference "Nature-Based Solutions: From Innovation to Common-Use. It was held on October 24-26 at the University of Tallinn in the framework of the chairmanship of the Ministry of the Environment of Estonia in the Council of the European Union.

Nature-based solutions can also help to create new green jobs and economic growth through new products and services that improve the natural capital rather than exhaust it.

The conference was attended by the leading scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs from around the world who shared their experience on how nature-based innovation and eco-innovative technologies can be implemented in many areas of life.

Among the important and useful for Kyrgyzstan issues were discussed effective public policies on promotion of digital technologies, specific benefits of digitalization of public and municipal services for the population, as well as the safe and efficient use of natural resources through new digital technologies.

From Kyrgyzstan, the conference was attended by representatives of the presidential administration, government and correspondent of 24.kg news agency. The trip was organized with the assistance of the OSCE Office in Bishkek.
