Almazbek Atambayev: Kyrgyzstan is most promising country in CIS

According to the American Gallup Institute, Kyrgyzstan is the most promising country in the CIS. The head of state Almazbek Atambayev said at the opening of FIFA Football Academy in Osh city. Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration said.

Almazbek Atambayev told that before the trip to Osh, he remembered the events of June 2010, and noted that he would always pray that such tragic events would never happen again in the country.

«All the peoples who live in Fergana Valley, especially the Kyrgyz and the Uzbeks, are linked by the ancient history. When these nations were together, they were the most powerful. Just one example: the Kokand Khanate stretched on the lands of today’s Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan,» he said.

The President noted that with pain in his heart he watched as a politician for the sake of his personal interests raised provocative things. "Nobody lives on knees in Kyrgyzstan! No one! And will not! "Almazbek Atambayev said.

The head of state noted that the elections in the country will be fair and transparent. He expressed confidence that the people of Kyrgyzstan will elect a worthy president.

The President of Kyrgyzstan touched upon the results of the recent visit to Uzbekistan, expressing the hope that by December 1 the sides will sign an agreement on the remaining part of the border.

Speaking about the opening of the football academy in Osh, Almazbek Atambayev noted that coaches from Brazil work there.
