Almazbek Atambayev asked to convene an extraordinary session of the parliament. This was reported by the Information Policy Department of the President's Office.
“Taking into account the fact that in the conditions of the presidential election to be held on October 15, the state executive power in the country should be more stable and effective than ever, I consider it necessary to form a new full-fledged government in a short time,” Almazbek Atambayev said today at a meeting with the leaders of the factions Parliamentary majority coalition.
“In this connection, I sent a letter to Chynybai Tursunbekov, the speaker of the parliament, with a request to convene an extraordinary session of the Kyrgyz parliament on August 25 with a view to forming a new government of the KR,” the head of state said.
