Residents of Bishkek see lunar eclipse
This night, Bishkek residents observed a partial lunar eclipse. On the night of August 7 to August 8, the sky in the city was cloudless.
Lunar eclipses occur when the moon enters the shadow cast by the Earth. In some cases, the satellite can be completely darkened. In case when the moon enters the shadow of the Earth in part, it is a partial eclipse.
On the night of August 12 to August 13, there will be another important astronomical phenomenon — a meteor shower.
