306 million passwords that should not be used appeared in Internet
Microsoft employee Troy Hunt launched an unusual online service. Using it, you can check whether a particular password has been compromised as a result of a data leakage.
Visitors of the website are greeted by a line where you have to enter a password. After that, the system checks if there is such a combination of symbols in the database.
The base was drawn up by Hunt from open sources. As a basis, he took publicly posted password lists, previously abducted by hackers from various Internet services. There are more than 300 million of them.
