President signs law on payment of childbirth allowance
President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev signed the law On State Allowances.
The law was approved by the Parliament on June 21.
Article 5 sets out the following types of state benefits:
— One-time allowance for birth of a child;
— Monthly allowance for care of a child up to 3 years;
— Monthly allowance for citizens (families) with three or more children between the ages of 3 and 16;
— Monthly social benefit to persons who do not have the right to pension provision.
The amount of state benefits is set annually by the government on the basis of the budget and the state of the economy taking into account the subsistence minimum.
The law will enter into force on January 1, 2018.
