Believers collect over 33 million soms during Ramadan
The total sum of the donations collected by the Muslims during Ramadan amounted to 33,668,886 soms. Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to the muftiyat, 50 percent of this amount will be transferred to the mosques of the country, 15 percent — to regional kaziyats and hatibiats, 20 percent — to SDMK.
Money is promised to be spent to help people with disabilities, who have been left without care and orphans.
In 2016, the total amount of donations collected during the Muslim post amounted to 32,156,605 soms.
