PM asked to equip audio classrooms for hearing-impaired children
Parliament deputy Dastan Bekeshev sent the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan a letter with request to allocate funds for audio classrooms for hearing-impaired children.
The deputy noted that not enough attention is currently paid to inclusive education of children with hearing impairment in the country.
«In Bishkek, the only special school No. 21 teaches the hearing-impaired children from all over the country, there are 285 of them. There is only one audio classroom for 12 children. This is not enough for full-fledged and timely education. One set for 12 children costs about 1.2 million soms. But neither parents of students nor the school have an opportunity to purchase this equipment," Destan Bekeshev noted.
He asks the Ministry of Finance to allocate 6 million soms for five sets for audio classrooms.
