President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev is leaving for Russia with the first state visit. This was announced today at the briefing by Aizada Subakozhoeva, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.

According to her, Almazbek Atambayev will visit this country at the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin from June 19 to 24. The visit is timed to the 25^th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries. The visit will be important for further consolidating the strategic nature of Kyrgyz-Russian relations, taking into account the prospects for Kyrgyzstan's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

«The central event of the visit will be the opening of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia. In the evening of June 20, an evening of masters of arts of Kyrgyzstan will take place in the Grand Kremlin courtyard. Within the framework of the Days of Culture, an exhibition of folk-applied art and screening of films by Kyrgyz filmmakers is also planned. Documents in the field of migration, health, statistics and finance will be signed," Aizada Subakozhoeva said.

It is emphasized that the document reflects the position of the parties within the framework of bilateral cooperation. During the visit, the President of Kyrgyzstan will also visit Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, where he will meet with the heads of these regions. Issues of interregional cooperation and intensification of trade and economic relations will be discussed. Kazan and Ufa will also host concert programs, exhibitions and film screenings.
