Head of State Registration Service Taiyrbek Sarpashev dismissed
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed an order to release Taiyrbek Sarpashev from the post of Chairman of the State Registration Service according to the submitted notice of resignation.
The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case against Taiyrbek Sarpashev, the former Vice Prime Minister and head of the SRS, and other officials of the department. It was found out that in 2013 there was held a tender for the purchase of civil status registration forms using the unlimited bidding method for the amount of 8 million soms. The winner of the tender was Triada-Print LLC, however, Deputy Prime Minister Taiyrbek Sarpashev gave a protocol instruction that allowed the SRS to purchase forms from Uchkun JSC.
Taiyrbek Sarpashev headed the SRS after his resignation as vice prime minister.
