Kyrgyzstan implements the policy of unacceptability of terrorism and extremism, Secretary of the Security Council (SB) of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Dzhumakadyrov said at the VIII International Meeting of High Representatives for Security. The secretariat of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the participants discussed the role of modern technologies in international information security and measures to ensure it. They also considered the main areas of international cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime.

In his speech at the roundtable «The phenomenon of ISIS: tasks of the world community in the fight against international terrorism» Temir Dzhumakadyrov stressed that today, in an extremely dangerous world situation, Kyrgyzstan can’t remain uninvolved, the country implements an active policy of unacceptability of terrorism and extremism.

According to him, in 2016, Kyrgyzstan adopted a package of anti-terrorist legislative measures, which include pre-trial blocking of extremist websites, toughening of responsibility for committing certain crimes, excluding the norms on parole and the limitation period for bringing to criminal responsibility for persons convicted for terrorist and extremist crimes, as well as certain aspects of the deprivation of Kyrgyz citizenship in connection with involvement in terrorist organizations.

«Law enforcers and special services continue to вуеусе and neutralize members of international terrorist organizations and religious extremist underground," he said.

He noted that todayб it is possible to minimize threats from the Islamic state only by combining the efforts of the international community under the auspices of the UN on a universally recognized international legal basis.

In the context of the situation in Afghanistan, according to Temir Dzhumakadyrov, it is necessary to continue international efforts, directing the country to the channel of peace and stability.
