Eurasian Development Bank to allocate $ 110 mln for Kambarata HPP 2
The Eurasian Development Bank will allocate $ 110 million for Kambarata HPP 2. The director of the power plant Bektursun Kachkankulov told at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on the fuel and energy complex.
According to him, the funds will be spent on the construction of the second unit. «Today, one unit is operating at the HPP, which produces 90 megawatts," he said.
According to Bektursun Kachkankulov, the bank allocates money at 1.5 percent per annum. The construction of the second unit will take two and a half years.
«After its launch and connection to Datka substation and power line Datka — Kemin, Kambarata 2 will be able to generate 150 megawatts of electricity. The construction of the third unit will begin when Kambarata HPP 1 is launched. I can not voice even an approximate date so far," Bektursun Kachkankulov said.
