Over 5,000 Kyrgyzstanis insure homes for 4 months of 2017
Since the beginning of the year (as of April 28, 2017), the State Insurance Organization (SIO) has concluded 5,216 contracts. SIO informed 24.kg news agency.
There are 143 beneficiaries, who are exempted from paying the insurance contribution in full or in part, among the people who insured their homes. According to SIO, most of the houses were insured in rural areas — 4,021 contracts, in urban areas — 1,052 contracts.
There is no administrative liability (fines) for those who do not insure housing. Home insurance in cities and towns costs 1,200 soms per year and in rural areas — 600 soms.
Recall, in late April, the Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov criticized the activities of the State Insurance Organization for the insurance of homes from emergency situations. In 2017, the number of landslides and the number of deaths increased.
