Bishkek to host XVI Forum of CIS Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia
Bishkek will host the XVI Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS member states on September 12-13. Press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan reported.
More than 200 delegates from the Commonwealth countries will come to the capital to participate in the event. The theme of the forum is «Through the interaction of cultures — to the commonwealth and peace.»
Scientists, educators and artists will discuss new formats of cooperation in education, youth initiatives in the field of volunteering movement, and the formation of intercultural dialogue at plenary sessions and in specialized sections.
As noted, the central panel discussion will be devoted to the main topic of 2023 in the CIS, which was declared the Year of the Russian Language as Means of Interethnic Communication. The forum participants will devote one of the dialogues to the work of Chingiz Aitmatov, his influence on the spiritual and moral worldview of modern reality.
Within the framework of the forum, the ceremony of awarding the winners of «Stars of the Commonwealth» and «Commonwealth of Debuts» state awards, as well as a performance by the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra, will take place.
A meeting of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies (Informsovet) and a round table of leaders of CIS theater unions will be held for the first time on the sidelines of the forum.
