National Bank of Kyrgyzstan spends $536 million on supporting som
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has conducted 11 interventions and sold $536,075 million in the foreign exchange market.
Including in the summer, it conducted two interventions. In July, it sold $43,555 million and in August — $35,880 million — $10 million with settlements on the date of the transaction and $25,880 million with settlements other than the date of the transaction.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market.
