Kyrgyzstan plans to increase import of Russian gas
Kyrgyzstan plans to increase purchases of Russian gas. The Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev announced in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, a significant increase in consumption is planned in the republic. The authorities plan to fully supply Bishkek and the surrounding areas of Chui region with gas.
«This is an alternative fuel to coal, and we have quite big plans for the next year to increase the purchase of this fuel. There is also a gas supply plan for the Bishkek HPP. We are ready for this, we are working on it now. There is also a gas station for 500 megawatts in Chaldovar. We are also working on this issue. Therefore, regarding an increase in gas supplies, I will say that we have good plans,» Taalaibek Ibraev concluded.
