9.6 billion soms spent on social assistance to population for six months
At least 9.6 billion soms were allocated for social assistance to the population from the republican budget for the first half of 2023. The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Including 2.7 billion soms were allocated for payment of Uy-bulogo komok allowances to low-income families with children under 16. At least 292.1 million soms were spent on a one-time allowance for the birth of a child Balaga Suyunchu.
The volume of payment of social benefits is estimated at 4.2 billion soms, allowances for pregnancy and childbirth — 287.4 million soms, ritual allowances — 37.2 million soms, compensation in exchange for benefits to the population — 17.2 million soms. Another 29.4 million soms were spent on the organization of public works, 987 million soms — on a social contract for low-income families, 568.2 million soms — payments to personal assistants for a child with disabilities who needs constant care and supervision.
