At least 63 kindergartens in Bishkek are not used for their intended purpose. The City Hall informed 24.kg news agency.
The municipality said that the inventory revealed 63 objects that are not used for their intended purpose: in Sverdlovsky district — 27, Leninsky district — 14, Oktyabrsky and Pervomaysky districts — 11 each.
«Eight municipal buildings were returned, and they work for their intended purpose as kindergartens,» the City Hall added.
In February, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov said that kindergartens, which were previously privatized, should start working as preschool organizations within three months, or they will be transferred under the management of the Ministry of Education and Science. If the premises are occupied by government agencies, they must vacate the buildings.
