Former general director of Alfa Telecom CJSC released from detention center
Azat Bazarkulov, the former general director of Alfa Telecom CJSC (MEGA trademark), who was accused of abuse of power, was placed under house arrest. The Pervomaisky District Court informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, Azat Bazarkulov and two other defendants compensated for material damage — 6,709,949 soms. The former general director of MEGA will be under house arrest until September 9.
The former deputy director of the company and later the former head of the IT department were detained on March 10, 2023 within the criminal case on Alfa Telecom.
According to the State Committee for National Security, the former deputy director and head of the IT department of MEGA company colluded with individual bidders and purchased equipment at an inflated cost. Preliminary damage reached about 20 million soms.
Azat Bazarkulov, the ex-general director of Alfa Telecom CJSC, was detained on June 27. All three defendants were in custody.
