Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan amended
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the law on Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Press service of the head of state reported.
The law was adopted by the Parliament on June 22, 2023. Previously, it provided that the refusal of the prosecutor during the trial to support the prosecution is a circumstance excluding criminal proceedings. Now this fact is included in the list of rehabilitating circumstances.
Separate spelling amendments were also made, aimed at eliminating discrepancies in the text of the Criminal Procedure Code in the state and official languages.
