Number of classes with Kyrgyz language of instruction to be increased in Bishkek
The number of classes with the Kyrgyz language of instruction will be increased in Bishkek. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The Department of Education of the City Hall of the capital was instructed to open classes with the Kyrgyz language of instruction in schools where instruction is conducted only in Russian. There are 16 of them in Bishkek.
«On February 1, 2021, the Department of Education of the City Hall issued an order to open classes with the Kyrgyz language of instruction in general educational organizations with the Russian language of instruction and a group with the Kyrgyz language of instruction in preschool institutions with the Russian language of instruction,» the department added.
It should be noted that there are 103 municipal schools in Bishkek. Children are fully taught in 14 of them in the Kyrgyz language, in 16 — in Russian. In the remaining 73 schools, children are educated in Kyrgyz and Russian.
