60 children drown in reservoirs of Kyrgyzstan for six months
At least 60 children have drowned in reservoirs of Kyrgyzstan for six months. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Law enforcement officers check recreational areas near reservoirs and rivers and conduct preventive conversations, warning vacationers that they are allowed to swim only in specially designated areas.
At least 85 people drowned in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, 28 of them were minors. Most accidents occurred during the summer season in Chui, Osh and Issyk-Kul regions.
