Acceptance of documents for El Umutu scholarship extended
Acceptance of documents for El Umutu scholarship was extended. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The scholarship is allocated from the President’s Fund, is personal and is awarded annually by the republican commission to the most talented young people who have passed the competitive selection.
Fifty El Umutu scholarships are allocated annually. Of these, 20 scholarships are allocated for technical and engineering areas of master’s training, 10 — for economic areas, 10 — for social and humanitarian areas, and 10 — for PhD programs.

On May 10, 2022, the head of state Sadyr Japarov established El Umutu presidential scholarship. The conditions for obtaining it are published on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science. There is also a list of the top 100 universities, in which the state is ready to finance the education. The size of the annual scholarship should not exceed $50,000.
