Customs officer arrested for extortion of money from entrepreneurs
Senior inspector of the North-Eastern customs was detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The detainee organized a corruption scheme — he extorted money from private entrepreneurs at the place of customs clearance.
«The detainee was placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS. Operational and investigative activities are ongoing. Other officials involved in this corruption scheme are being identified,» the state committee said.
