Price of rice grows by 8 soms in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of June
The cost of medium-grain rice in Kyrgyzstan increased by 8.03 soms for half a month. Data of the National Statistical Committee say.
If on May 31 the product cost 120.85 soms, then as of June 16 the price increased to 128.88 soms. To date, the highest rice price is registered in Kara-Suu (163.57 soms), Isfana (149.78 soms) and Jalal-Abad (143.45 soms) cities, and the lowest — in the cities of Uzgen (89 soms), Tokmak (113.25 soms) and Nookat (114.02 soms).
Since the beginning of the year, prices for medium-grain rice have increased by an average of 35 soms across the country. Most of all, compared with prices as of January 2, 2023, it has risen in price in Pokrovka village, Manas district (by 47.23 soms), Isfana (46.55 soms) and Balykchy (43.69 soms) cities.
