Corruption in Nature Development Fund: Suspects try to flee the country
Defendants in a criminal case, involved in the corruption scheme in the Nature Development Fund under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision have been detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
"As part of a previously initiated criminal case, the former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources I.B.M. and the current director of the Chui Regional Department of the ministry K.T.K. were detained.
K.T.K. was detained on June 15 a Ak-Zhol — Avtodorozhny checkpoint when trying to leave the country. He was a permanent member of the expert commission for reviewing projects and financing them from the budget. In addition, on June 18, I.B.M., who was the secretary of the expert commission, was detained at Manas International Airport, whose duties included selection and submission of projects for consideration by the commission.
When distributing funds, contrary to the interests of the state, they proposed and lobbied for individual projects in which they had their personal interest, as a result of which budget funds were illegally allocated and written off in an especially large amount on a gratuitous basis to affiliated business entities.
Director of the Nature Development Fund was detained earlier within the criminal case.
