Volume of water in Toktogul reservoir is 2 billion m3 less than last year
The volume of water in Toktogul reservoir is 2 billion cubic meters less than last year. Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Mirlan Zhakypov said at a meeting of the Committee on Fuel, Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy of the Parliament.
According to him, the water level is 8.8 billion cubic meters to date, which is 2 billion cubic meters less than last year.
Deputy Taalaibek Sarybashev asked why.
«Do you discharge a lot of water? There is also information about cryptocurrency mining farms on the territory of Toktogul reservoir. We need to check everything,» the deputy said.
Mirlan Zhakypov replied that he did not see any mining farms on the territory of the reservoir.
«The inflow of water just increased yesterday,» he added.
