More than 180 athletes to represent Kyrgyzstan at Asian Games in China
The team of Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Games will consist of 181 athletes. Sadyr Mamytov, President of the National Olympic Committee, announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
«Our athletes will perform in 26 sports, such as boxing, swimming, shooting, archery, judo, weightlifting, Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling, karate, fencing, athletics, rowing and canoeing, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, triathlon, volleyball, football, kurash, chess, jiu-jitsu, esports, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, basketball, wushu sanda, equestrian sports,» he told.
In total, according to Sadyr Mamytov, more than 200 people from Kyrgyzstan will take part in the event, including 181 athletes in the aforementioned sports, 46 coaches, medical workers, press service representatives and members of the delegation.
The program of the XIX Asian Games includes 40 sports. They will be held from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou city in China.
