Akylbek Japarov meets with head of ADB Office in Kyrgyzstan
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Asian Development Bank Country Director for Kyrgyzstan Kanokpan Lao-Araya.
According to the press service of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including the draft Partnership Strategy of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Kyrgyzstan for 2023-2027.
Akylbek Japarov noted that in order to achieve effective cooperation, ADB projects should be correlated with the strategic directions of the country’s development.
The parties also discussed the current state of projects in the social sphere, including education and healthcare.
It was noted that projects in the educational sphere are aimed at improving the quality of school education by updating subject educational standards, improving teacher training, repairing and equipping 53 innovative schools.
At the end of the meeting, the parties stated that they were ready to take effective measures to implement projects of mutual interest.
