The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) is starting the second stage of the fight against corruption, grave and especially grave crimes. The state committee will apply the most severe penalties within the law. The head of the security services, Kamchybek Tashiev, announced on Facebook.

He noted that the fight against those types of crimes that seriously undermine the foundations of the state is carried out.

According to him, the strategic steps of the committee are divided into three stages:

1. Systematization of the fight and determining the direction.

2. Toughening of punishment within the law.

3. Information, clarification, consolidation of results.

Kamchybek Tashiev stressed that the unprecedented fight is being waged on the basis of the demands and conditions created by the President Sadyr Japarov.

According to the head of the security services, the first stage of the declared fight against corruption, grave and especially grave crimes has ended.

«It was not as easy for us as we initially thought — the fight took not two or three months or even six months, but as much as 2.5 years. We stocked up on patience, perseverance, and utmost honesty before embarking on the painstaking work. Now we are moving to the second stage. We will apply the most severe penalties within the framework of the law,» Kamchybek Tashiev wrote.

He noted that if previously detained corrupt officials compensated many times more than the damage they caused, and could get off with a slight fright, now everything will change radically.

Along with compensation for the damage caused by a corrupt official, we will seize all property owned by him with the application of the highest form of punishment provided for by law, based on a court decision.

«Our society must understand: we will develop the country only through a merciless fight against corruption and the transparency of our intentions!» Kamchybek Tashiev stressed.

In his opinion, the second stage will last 1-1.5 years and will be the most difficult in his life, when he personally has to distance himself from everything, children, friends, relatives.

«Dear civil servants! Once again I remind you as a person working for the state, I ask you to do your job clearly, without violating the law. Stop corruption. Do not come, do not ask for mercy, because from now on, violators of the law will be strictly punished in accordance with the letter of the law,» the SCNS head said.

He noted that bandits, robbers who encroach on other people’s property, smugglers, swindlers who deceive the state will be destroyed on a legal basis.

«No one should be held unlawfully liable. It is a difficult and very dangerous task, but I will do it, I have no choice. Either the corrupt circles will defeat me, or I will achieve that they face the law,» Kamchybek Tashiev stressed.

The head of the SCNS added that he was running out of time allotted for the destruction of corruption.
