Askar and Mairam Akayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan. Sources in the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
They reportedly entered the country through Ak-Zhol checkpoint on the border with Kazakhstan.
The press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security answered to the question from 24.kg news agency that information about people crossing the border is confidential and is given only at the request of judicial, law enforcement and competent authorities.
Recall, the former president of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev arrived in the capital several times. During his visit to the country, he was interrogated by the State Committee for National Security. Then the former head of state entered into a plea bargain and confessed. The second time he was also interrogated by the security services in Kumtor case. The criminal case against former president Askar Akayev has been dropped.
