Director of state enterprise detained for extortion from investor
Director of a state-owned enterprise was detained when taking a bribe of 1 million soms. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The official extorted 2.5 million soms from investors and demanded a 20 percent stake in the newly created company, threatening with deprivation of the license for development of some fields.
The investigators found out that the general director, who was in collusion with other persons, received a 20 percent stake in an oil company as a bribe, registering the stake for affiliated nominees, after which he continued to extort 2.5 million soms.
They were placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS. An investigation is underway.
