State Property Management Agency tells about profit of Ak-Keme hotel
MP Erulan Kokulov said at a parliamentary meeting on Thursday that Ak-Keme state hotel earns 300,000 soms a year.
The press service of the State Property Management Agency told 24.kg news agency that the deputy has wrong information.
According to the agency, in 2022, the profit of Ak-Keme hotel complex amounted to 27,600 million soms.
«The hotel was transferred into the state ownership in 2017 with large debts. All profits of the hotel were spent on their payment. There was no money left for repairs. A year and a half — from 2020 to 2021, the hotel did not work, it was used as an observation unit. Since the beginning of March, the hotel has been handed over to the Department for Presidential Affairs. It is planned to turn it into a five-star hotel,» the agency said.
